About HealMeal
Cooking with confidence, not fear.
Our Mission
Living with IBS means constantly asking: "Can I eat this?" and "Will this trigger my symptoms?" HealMeal exists to answer those questions so you can get back to enjoying food.
We provide FODMAP-aware recipe search, AI-powered recipe transformation, and ingredient-level guidance — all in calm, educational language that explains why an ingredient might be a concern, not just that it is one.
What We Do
Search Recipes
Browse thousands of recipes with IBS risk signals so you know what to expect before you cook.
Transform Any Recipe
Paste a URL or enter a recipe and our AI adapts it to be IBS-friendly with smart ingredient swaps.
Understand Ingredients
Tap any ingredient to see its FODMAP category, portion notes, and suggested alternatives.
Plan Your Week
Build weekly meal plans that respect your triggers and generate shopping lists automatically.
How It Works
-
1
Set up your IBS profile
Tell us your IBS phase (elimination, reintroduction, or maintenance), known triggers, and tolerance levels.
-
2
Find or create recipes
Search our collection, transform a recipe from any URL, or describe what you want and let AI generate one.
-
3
See clear risk signals
Every recipe shows a color-coded risk level from green (enjoy freely) to red (avoid or swap), with ingredient-level detail.
-
4
Cook with confidence
Save recipes you trust, plan your meals for the week, and build a personal library of safe favorites.
Our Approach
Explain, don't alarm. We use calm, educational language. No scary red banners unless truly needed.
No absolutes. We never say "safe for all IBS patients." Tolerance varies by person, portion, and preparation.
Progressive disclosure. Beginners see simple green/caution/avoid signals. Advanced users can drill into ingredient-level detail.
Repeatability over novelty. IBS management means finding meals that work and sticking with them. We make it easy to save and reuse.
What We're Not
HealMeal is not a medical service. We provide educational information inspired by Low-FODMAP principles, but we are not affiliated with Monash University or any clinical testing organization. Our content does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider before making dietary changes.

What's Next
HealMeal launched with IBS support, but our architecture is designed to expand. We're working on adding guidance for additional conditions:
- Diabetes (glycemic index and carb awareness)
- Heart Disease (sodium and saturated fat tracking)
- GERD / Acid Reflux (trigger identification)
- Chronic Kidney Disease (potassium and phosphorus monitoring)
We're also building community features, a food journal for symptom tracking, and mobile apps.
